SPF/TXT Record

SPF/TXT Record

Updated on Fri, Jun 12 3:54:49 PM 2020

Description

When sending outbound mail through hosted email filtering what is the DNS information to use in the SPF record?

Solution

If you have an SPF DNS record configured on your domain name you will need to add our IP range to that record to be in compliance with SPF.  Our IP information should be added as ip4:208.80.200.0/21 in the record in addition to any other SPF entries you have.

Here is edgewave.com's SPF record as an example:

edgewave.com.           10799   IN      TXT     "v=spf1 mx ip4:208.80.200.0/21 include:_spf.salesforce.com include:mktomail.com include:spf.protection.outlook.com include:spf.conversica.com ~all"
