Account Doesn’t Allow Editing On A Mac

A. Make sure correct licensing assigned to your account.

B. If you have the right license, please try the steps below to see the result:

  1. Log out of account and Quit Office
  2. Open Finder > Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access
  3. Choose All Items in Category, and search Microsoft in the upper-right search box.
  4. Delete all the keychains if present.
  5. Try to run and activate Office again.
  6. Test editing document.


C. Reinstall Microsoft office from the Office.com site.
